OHS Program Development and Safety Consulting — Lower Mainland BC
BC employers are required by the Workers Compensation Act and WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation to have an occupational health and safety program appropriate to their workplace. Most small and mid-size employers in the Lower Mainland do not have a full-time CRSP or CSP on staff to build and maintain that program. MP Environmental Consulting provides custom OHS program development, workplace hazard assessments, safe work procedures, and WorkSafeBC compliance audits for BC employers — performed by a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Practical programs built for your specific workplace. Same-day response.
604-418-3886The highest safety credentials in Canada — applied to your OHS program.
Anyone can call themselves a safety consultant in BC. A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) must pass comprehensive professional examinations and maintain ongoing continuing professional development. These are the credentials WorkSafeBC explicitly recognizes as Qualified Professional designations for regulated OHS work. Your OHS program is signed by one of the most credentialed safety professionals in the Lower Mainland.

Is my BC business required to have an OHS program?
Yes. The BC Workers Compensation Act and WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation require all employers to have an occupational health and safety program appropriate to the size and nature of their workplace. Employers with 20 or more workers must have a formal written OHS program. Smaller employers must have at minimum an accident prevention program. Following a WorkSafeBC inspection or order, a formal written OHS program is typically required regardless of employer size.
What is a site-specific safety plan and when is it required?
A site-specific safety plan (SSSP) is a written document required for construction projects in BC that identifies the specific hazards on that particular site and the controls that will be used to address them. An SSSP must be project-specific — it cannot simply be a copy of a previous project's safety plan or a generic template. An SSSP is required before construction work begins on most WorkSafeBC-regulated construction projects.

OHS consulting pricing depends on the specific services required and the size and complexity of your workplace.
