Licensed PEs who need an ethics hour, in any discipline
Civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, environmental and software engineers all face the same ethics duties, so the course is not tied to one discipline. It suits engineers who want a practical, case-based course instead of a dry reading assignment.
Engineering ethics course curriculum
Nine narrated video lessons (54.5 minutes of video), check-yourself questions, two case analyses, six scenarios and a final quiz: about two hours in total.

The golf weekend
You are choosing between three pump suppliers for a municipal project. One invites you and your spouse to a two-night golf weekend at its expense. Do you:
B. Go, and pay for your own meals.
C. Decline, or disclose to your employer in writing and get approval, and consider recusing yourself if the invitation stands.
Show the answer
Best answer: C. The course’s four-question gift test raises problems on value, timing, intent and transparency. A decision is pending, and the appearance of influence is what matters, especially on public work. Option B reduces the cost but not the timing problem.
